We Got a Gold Star

We would like to announce some fantastic news: we received a Gold Addy Award for our work on the Webley & Scott 2012 Catalog design!  Since winning Gold here in the local (Reno) level, our entry moved onto the district level and won a Silver award- and is now an entrant at the National level!! On-The-Mark with Off-Road Racing Client

The sight of a professional race course, the smell of wet dirt, and the sound of engines rounding a tight corner is what makes Chad Antos’ heart flutter.  And so, a perfect relationship between Wild West Motorsports Park and The Antos Agency has begun.  With only 3 months to build the track and prepare a branding and public relations campaign for the August 25th & 26th race, Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series made a proper stop in Reno and will become a regular site on future tours.  Bringing talented and well-known racers like Carl Renezeder, Brian Deegan, Jeremy McGrath, Cary Hart and Jeremy “Twitch” Stenberg made for a memorable event.

Such a large event had a group of talented ‘behind the scenes’ people working on the project: Norm Dianda, owner of Q&D Construction, not only owns the property but also built and constructed the race track, and funded most of the event; The Abbi Agency developed the public relations campaign; Wild West Motorsports Park put all the pieces together to make the event happen; and, The Antos Agency established Wild West Motorsports Park branding campaign.  There were many others who made this event possible, and we would like to congratulate them and the awesome team who put on an event that will become an annual event.

This great new facility, the Reno Wild West Motorsports Park, will hold all types of off-road races, including motor-cross and super motor-cross events.

Bringing Nostalgia to Life VIA Hot August Nights

Hot August Nights, a well-loved classic car event held in the Reno/Sparks area for the past 26 years, has gained its momentum over the years because of its clever way of combining a sentimental event for baby boomers and a thrilling experience for the newer generations who have an appreciation for vintage and antique automobiles.

Approached with the opportunity to redesign their current website, Antos Agency looked no further than the timeless icons of the 50’s and 60’s for inspiration. The new website displays period pieces and old-time designs that exhibit the nostalgic feeling that Hot August Nights recreates so well. With easy navigation, new online registration and the official HAN Store, the new website has definitely taken steps forward to enhance the Hot August Nights experience for participants, spectators and volunteers. We’ve Got That New Office Smell

This year has given way to a new name, new office, new clients and a new designer.  We are excited to announce the new name of our company: The Antos Agency.  “40to1 Creative” had a good run and launched us into the agency we are today, and with a new name comes a new location.  Owner, Chad Antos, and his design team now enjoy the luxury of an urban office in the heart of downtown Reno.  Being close to clients and having a professional office for our loyal and new clients is important to us.  Also, with our growing client base and work we are proud to have hired talented designer Naomi Ferrall, a Reno local and artist at heart.

CES Las Vegas 2012

If you have had the pleasure of attending CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas, then you understand why it is such a big deal.  As stated on CES’s website (http://www.cesweb.org), “With more than four decades of success, the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) reaches across global markets, connects the industry, and enables CE innovations to grow and thrive.”  With exhibitors such as IBM, LG, Sony, Microsoft, Audi, and Ford, this show is the ultimate in electronics innovation, and attracts attendees from all over the world.

A Photo Can Say a Thousand Words

Engaging designs are produced from a perfect formula of creativity, inspiration, and independent resources.  An important resource is a reliable photographer since one of the most important elements in graphic communication is photography that exudes a specific idea or reaction, and most importantly, interprets and produces your creative direction.

For the last 2 months we have been building a strong and vibrant campaign for our client Legacy Sports International, concentrating on their new 2012 Catalog design which centers around an active way of showcasing their product. Our goal for this job was to create a raw yet striking look at gun products, and we knew in order to achieve this look we had to hire Jeff Dow Photography.  Our art direction strayed from the typical presentation of hunting and mountain scenes, and instead broke the mold by using urban backdrops, timeworn architecture, and Nevada’s own desert terrain.

Creating a Legacy

We at 40to1 Creative have been awarded the opportunity to branch out into a new marketing demographic, the hunter.  Having a home base in the Reno/Sparks area has given us a creative advantage in the hunting community; being surrounded by desert, mountains and valleys that spur sheep, bird, and deer hunting has created and maintained this popular sport.  40to1 has worked with hunting clients in the past, most notably Chad Belding and his Banded Nation, and let’s not forget his prevalent shows, The Fowl Life and Dead Dog Walkin’.

We Truly Enjoy Our Clients

David Wise

40to1 Creative has had the pleasure or working with a variety of clients, ranging from transportation companies and TV show personalities, to national retailers and local government agencies.  We at 40to1 Creative believe that a diverse set of clients keeps the juices flowing, the inspiration cloud floating, and our creative passion pumping- needless to say, we like to create amazing things.  This brings us to our latest client: David Wise, Freestyle Superpipe Skier.

David Wise is a local guy making a big deal nationwide.  And we were excited when Wise asked us to design a website to promote himself to his sponsors and fans.  40to1 is no stranger to dynamic design, and that’s exactly what we centered David’s “brand” around.   A combination of David’s light-hearted character, his rad tricks in the pipe, and his vibrant approach are reflected in his website, and custom Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube pages.   It wasn’t hard since Wise is pretty dynamic himself.  David could be coming off an ESPN highlight the weekend before, and then enter the office with the most humble, respectful, and grateful attitudes.  Among David’s long list of accomplishments and podium appearances, he recently made the U.S. Freeskiing Halfpipe Team for the 2014 Sochi Olympics- Congrats David!
